Exchange Stitching

I'm sorry I haven't had much to post lately, but I am exchange stitching so I can't share any photos.  I did venture into my garden this morning and I once again have a full batch of bluebird babies.  Too cute !! The other birds left the nest and are doing well so mamma started over :)

Shabby Chic Fabulous Find :)

I took a quick trip into a local antique store and found a milk glass compote that perfectly fits the little flower frog I found weeks ago.  What a fabulous find :)

New Stash :)

I was able to aquire some new LHN Patterns for my stitchy self :) I just love her designs.  She uses wonderful colors (Crescent Colors are so vibrant) and has such quaint patterns.

And of Course I had to take another photo of my stitching buddy.  I really think she likes the warmth of the lamp more than my stitching - but just humor me for now - lol

Applicious Stitching

I finally finished my new start.  I stitched this design on 32 count lambswool.  I know - I shouldn't tell you yet because a certain blogger has still kept her new start a secret - but I just can't resist.  The design is "Out On A Limb" from Primrose Needleworks.  This is actually the first design I've stitched from this designer.  The colors are vibrant and the stitching went pretty quickly.  I placed the little butterfly bead from Shawkl Designs on the bottom of the chart instead of stitching the little bug (I finally figured out how to get my camera to photograph the little sparkly) I started this whole project because I just loved the apple marking pins that I received as a gift.  I am thinking of using this stitch work for a sewing box.  I think I need to make some apple pin cushions to match :)

I am so beyond excited. I am speechless ( and that is a difficult task so my husband says :P)

Well, I was definitely happy about this because the tin is so cute, and you can never have enough storage space.  But my story doesn't end here.  You just won't believe what happened.  I opened the tin .....

I am absolutely shocked by the generosity and the wonderful creativity of this fine gift.  I took a look at the Shawkl Designs Website and was also amazed at the wonderful designs and reasonable prices.  I found some gold charms and some beautiful lace - it's definitely worth a look.

I just wanted to share my good fortune with everyone.  I am constantly amazed at the generosity and good will of all of the bloggers I have encountered. Happy Stitching and Blessings to all :)

Blackbird Designs "Bluebird" Pincushion

I made another "Bluebird" Pincushion.  I changed the color and added a beaded border.  This is the first time I have used beads for finishing.  I like the results :)

I placed beads at every other stitch.

Flea Market Find

I found these egg stands at a local flea market - very cheap.  I am going to use them for displaying my pin cushions :)
