Pinkeep Exchange

I have recently joined the Tiny Treasures Exchange, Too blog and entered into the Pinkeep Exchange.  I am new to exchanging, but have had a tremendous time so far.  I thought I would stick with an autumn theme.

This is the new Lizzie * Kate Quick - it "Sampling Thanksgiving."  I thought it would be ok to send now because there is a little pumpkin in the photo ;)  It is stitched on 32 count platinum linen over 2 threads.

This was sent to Diane (Nan) at Nans Needlework Notions.  She has received her exchange so I can post the photo now

:( Guess what

I have been getting headaches & having some troubles with my health . (That is why I haven't been stitching too much lately) (I went to the eye doc today & I need glassess ( I am having trouble with near & far vision).  I have more tests next week to check some other issues in other areas.  Stressful - Does anyone know any good spectacles case patterns that I could stitch to get me used to the idea?  I won't get my glassess for a week - so I can't start stitching yet but I can look at the pattern and try to get excited about this - Any advice for a great pattern would be appreciated :)

I have a Camera :)

Just a quick photo to let you know my camera has finally arrived.  This is an elephant ear in my back yard - Notice the little critter staring at you ;)

And here's a photo of my pond:

I'm going to spend some time on my days off learning how to operate this thing -  It's sooooo much fun.
In the meantime - I'm going to get some rest

Exchange Arrived

I am so excited about what I found in the mail today.  A package all the way from Rotorua New Zealand.  It contained my exchange package from my Tiny Treasures Exchange partner Laurie J Breadmore of http://www.breadmoretravels.blogspot.com/.  It is just gorgeous :)
It was presented in a beautiful purple package.  And when I opened my package I just couldn't believe my eyes.  It contained the most gorgeous pinkeep.

Thank you so much Laurie, I just love it :)

Recent contest entry

I noticed that there was a contest going on at Niky's Creations recently.  Niky offered a free pattern to those who participated.  Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to complete the entire project, but entered a small paper mache box that I made from a portion of the pattern.  I stitched this design on 32 count platinum linen over two threads using the thread colors recommended.  I splattered the fabric and the pink ribbon on the top with tea to antique it a bit. I love the effect.

This design is truly fabulous.  It was a simplistically creative and well designed pattern that showed a great use of color. It was also a pretty quick stitch.  I plan on making a needle book and a pinkeep to match using the full pattern soon.  Thanks for the fun Niky - keep the designs coming !!

(FYI : I hit a very bad button on my designer template & nearly lost my blog - I am trying to get it back as we speak.  I have lost a lot of information so I apologize if you can't find something - I can't find it either - ;0)
Oh well, Nothing like starting over ;)
