OK Here's the deal .....

I have read some pretty interesting posts lately about some happenings in Bloggers lives that they are not particularly fond of -
Due to the fact that I have gladly listened  to everyone with an open ear, smiles, & positive comments
I NOW FEEL IT IS MY TURN-
I DO NOT LIKE CRUTCHES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I can't bend my leg which is in an immobilizer
This wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that I  am not an incredibly coordinated person -
I like to stay active & that is obviously not happening at this point & time -
(Although, I am trying to stay busy from the confines of my chair)
My House is a mess -
It takes an act of congress for me to .....
Well we won't go there but
Let's just say everything takes an immense amount of time to accomplish -
My leg hurts -
Now my other leg hurts -
Our rescue pup Molly is now scared of me because I am rolling around in an office chair up & down the hallway & she thinks I have lost my mind -
So........
My husband seeing my distress yesterday
hooked a lawn chair to a rolling gadget used to move furniture & rolled me around the neighborhood at 3am so I could get some fresh air -
This is obviously HELL ON WHEELS .....

And I don't know if you know this -
But everything you want when you shop from a wheelchair is on the top shelf -
& if you use merchandise to knock other merchandise to a lower position so you can reach it ...
it inevitably falls on the floor instead of in your lap -
And the floor is just about an inch out of your reach when sitting in a wheelchair .....

-------------------------------------

But I also noticed ....
There are some really kind people who pick things up for those they see "drop" their merchandise while shopping.
My kids are incredibly understanding & helpful ...
It was nice to feel the cool air & spend time with my husband all cuddled up in a blanket praying my homemade cart didn't topple over.

The stars looked lovely from this position
And -
There are some Wonderful bloggers out there who are always giving support to their blogging buddies !!!!!!
Thank you all so much for your sweet comments & thoughtfulness
I do appreciate it !!!!!
Enjoy your week !!!

P.S. Notice the little photo of Molly
Doesn't she look beautiful !!!

Glad you stopped by Theresa

(I have to admit I've enjoyed seeing the human side of all of the ladies in blogland recently- I've been tickled by some of the recent post from hot flashes to shopping woes - i guess I'm not the only one - lol!)

Oh sweet sweet Patti. You have the sweetest husband. I bet you were happy to get out and enjoy the fresh air. You are in my prayers - every night. Stay strong - that immobilizer will work on letting your leg heal properly. That goodness for chairs with wheels. God bless you while shopping:))) Molly is darling. Remember this is all temporary my friend.
love Annette

Hang in there Patty! I can just imagine how frustrating it is. Hopefully you won't be stuck in the immobilizer much longer. So nice that your hubby and kids are helping out.

Hey Patty!
I know that the recovery process is hard and frustrating! Hopefully in a couple of months it will be a distant memory.

I have a friend who has spent many years in a wheelchair & I know how difficult things can be for her. Thank God that you will be able to do without it again after this is all over. Hang in there.

Best wishes for a speedy and successful recovery. You deserve to vent when you need to and to who else but your cyber-buddies. It must be frustrating. Hang in there....one day at a time. Thanks for a (funny) look at a different perspective.

The only good time to use crutches is when you are actually well and they can be fun: no fun at all if you really need them. Keep going: hopefully you wont need them for much longer.

I am praying for you.♥

Dear Patti --take heart. I had the same surgery (I know everyone responds in their own way) and the after effect was WONDERFUL. After it all healed it made such a difference. So take hope my friend...their is a happy body part at the end of all this resting!

Oh, Patti, I can only imagine how frustrating your recovery period must be! Please hang in there and know that soon you'll be walking around and your knee will be feeling better than ever... At least you have sweet Molly for company--how precious is that little face!!

I hope you a doing well! It certainly can't be easy, physically or mentally...
I did have to giggle at the picture I conjured up of your dear husband pushing you around in the lawn chair at 3am! He's a keeper for sure!
Hugs....

Arrggh. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be. I'd be going crazy too. I say rant away if it helps blow off some steam. On the plus side, at least you have some 'sitting down' hobbies? Imagine how awful it would be with none of THOSE. lol

Hang in there! When the dude broke his foot and was on crutches, I took him to a travel show in a big convention center. We would talk about our honeymoon in Alaska and all the hiking we did, and you could totally see the gears working as all the representatives tried to figure out how I took my "handicapped" husband hiking. So, there's that...confusing the normals. See if you can enlist your husband. It'll put a smile on your face. :)

Oh!!! You have every right to complain! Your husband is so sweet! You are in my prayers that your trials will be over soon, and the bright side? Lots of stitching time!!
And I LOVE Molly! She is SO cute!

I did not know you were going through this Patty.
At least you are still able to do your crafts.
Hope you will soon be on your feet again.

Enjoyed the post! It's not easy and the longer it continues, the harder it is! Halfway there? Your Molly looks like a different pup since her rescue. What a sweetie.

Just catching up on my blog reading. Poor you! I was on crutches for three week (we live in a tri-level house), and I thought I would go mad! The worst thing for me was not being able to walk and carry things at the same time. I laughed out loud at your "hell on wheels" comment! Hope you heal quickly and can leave the crutches behind soon! Molly looks happy, healthy and loved (in addition to being cute as a button). Her before and after photos are dramatic!

Oh my gosh. Apparently I've been living under a rock for awhile. What's this about wheelchairs and crutches???? I'm so sorry to hear this. Hope you're on the road to recovery.
